Major Hospital offers a variety of medical services to include: emergency care, In-patient care IICU, post surgical care, med/surg unit, respiratory care to include Cardiac Rehabilitation. We have a Med Specialties Clinic with a variety of specialists who provide their services locally. Major also has a surgery department, and a laboratory that accomodates walk-in patients, the InLow Imaging Center that houses state of the Art equipment with digital imaging, and Women's Ctr. for Mammography and Ultrasound.
Major also has an OB department that delivers approx. 400 infants per year. We own several doctor offices and support a Clinic in the community for the low income, non-insured population as well.

In July, RENOVO will house our Orthopaedic physicians and Rehabilitation facility. The Benesse Cancer center provides both medical and radiological treatments. We administer two OnSite Health Clinics for industry, and a Sleep Lab. We provide Urgent Care and Occupational Health.

We became a hospital in 1924 after the W.S Major family donated their home and land to the City of Shelbyville. Major has continued to grow and expand adding sites around the City of Shelbyville. These sites added specialty providers, physicians offices, a rehab facility, Sleep lab, Billing office, Cancer Center and Medical Arts building, Urgent Care and Occupational Health Clinic. As the need grows in the community, we have promoted growth to meet that need. In 2006 we received a grant from the State of Indiana for a Conference Ctr. in our Medical Arts campus. In addition to the above mentioned facts, we have a hospital foundation that works with the hospital and the community to meet our patients needs. We employee students every year from our schools through their career center in hopes of providing them a hands on educational experience to promote their future work experiences.
