About Heartland Community Bank

Full-service commercial bank serving Johnson County and surrounding counties. We offer a complete line of deposit and loan products and services. We have branches in Greenwood, Whiteland, Franklin and Bargersville.

What aspects of your benefits package do you find most valuable?

The annual wellness screenings are fantastic, as well as the health insurance package. I also like the amount of paid time off that I'm given so I can enjoy my other interests.

The people that I work with and for are the greatest! We're like a big family. I also like the flexibility my employer grants to me to grow both professionally and personally.

What do you find most motivational about working for this organization?

HCB provides training, concentrating on supervisory skills. Accountability through setting employee goals, minimal, optimal and target. We get rewarded when we perform well.

It is the best place to work. I feel appreciated daily. We are encouraged to have fun at work. Everyone is extremely friendly. Upper management truly cares for everyone.

How does this organization help you to learn and grow?

The fact that they lead by example. Just watching them with customers and employees are a very valuable learning opportunity.

What formal training have you found most valuable?

Human resource training. There was an attorney that came in and did a several hour training with us concerning do's and do not's with employees.

The bank understands that their employees have lives outside of work and they are as flexible as they can be to accommodate things that pop up.

What does the leader of this organization do well?

We are one family and we are treated has he would treat his family. Our motto is always "make every customer feel like they are the only one".

I am able to do my work with out someone always looking over my shoulder. I can get the work done and yet can have fun at the same time.

My management team is always eager to help, and they understand we all have families and responsibilities to them just as we do to our jobs.

My job allows me to use my abilities to provide a service to our community, and to have an excellent work place to do that in.

I have freedom to make suggestions/input as I feel necessary. I feel appreciated and know that management will listen to me.

I have the flexibility of setting my own work schedule and working the hours necessary to complete my responsibilities.

What impresses you most about senior management's understanding of what is happening in this organization?

Like I said they are just like one of us. They do not expect us to do anything that they wouldn't do themselves.

Upper management praising you and taking notice. They want to have a fun, energetic positive workplace! how great!

What excites you about the direction this organization is taking?

Senior Management is always looking out for the customers in offering the best products that they might need.

What contributes most to you wanting to stay with this organization?

The business ethics of our management team and the trust I have in them is why I love working here.

The people, the continued encouragement, the atmosphere, the activities and the praise.
