About Fountain Valley School District
The Fountain Valley School District was founded around 1898 with our first school, Fountain Valley School. Now, the district is comprised of 11 schools serving over 6,000 students in 7.5 square miles. The district is made up of 7 K-5 elementary schools, 3 6-8 middle schools and 1 K-8 school. Fountain Valley School District is known as the "Lighthouse District" for our historic commitment to academic excellence. Fountain Valley School District is the top ranking elementary school district in Orange County. Our mission is to promote a foundation for academic excellence, mastery of basic skills, responsible citizenship, and a desire by students to achieve their highest potential through a partnership with home and community.
