YOUR GUIDE TO THE TWIN CITIES

Comcast was founded in 1963 as a single-system cable operation. Today, Comcast is principally involved in the operation of cable systems through Comcast Cable and in the development, production and distribution of entertainment, news, sports and other content for global audiences through NBCUniversal. Comcast Cable is one of the nation's largest video, high-speed Internet and phone providers to residential and business customers. Comcast is the majority owner and manager of NBCUniversal, which owns and operates entertainment and news cable networks, the NBC and Telemundo broadcast networks, local television station groups, television production operations, a major motion picture company and theme parks.
As Comcast evolves, we continue to look to the future - seeking out new communications technology, new opportunities, and more choices for consumers and businesses.
What sets Comcast apart as an employer from others in our industry is the family-based heritage and the principles on which Comcast was founded back in 1963. At age 91, the founder of our company, Ralph Roberts continues to play an active role in the leadership of Comcast, and has become a key role model for employees. Ralph, and other management members, spend a lot of time in the field meeting and speaking with employees and sharing the values that have been an important mainstay for the success and growth of Comcast since the beginning.
Comcast employees play an active role in the decision-making process at Comcast through surveys, company meetings, focus groups, suggestion boxes, team meetings and project teams. Employees have an opportunity to provide ongoing, continuous feedback on everything from local ads to tools that are available to them on the job.
