About Coastline Regional Occupational Program

Coastline ROP provides students with a dynamic career technical education program that prepares them for academic and career success. It is the premier delivery system of career technical education for five public high school districts that include Huntington Beach Unified High School District and Irvine, Tustin, Newport-Mesa and Saddleback Unified School Districts. Courses are offered to high school students and adults in five career pathways: Arts and Communication, Business and Marketing, Health Science, Public Service and Science and Technology. Students receive elective high school credit when they complete these classes.

The management team supports the teachers needs which helps the teachers focus on providing a quality education to our students. We have workshops, share ideals and recognize outstanding students.

The caring, familial climate that is nurtured in all employees. We truly care about each other and work together to ensure we stay on track to accomplish our mission - to achieve student success!

They truly understand that this is a job and that our personal life is life and that things sometimes come up with our personal life that may require some time off and they get that.

I am constantly praised for doing good work. I get calls and visits from my supervisor and she is always looking for ways that she can help me do my job better.

Teacher collaboration, yearly advisory groups, helpful seminars, training days, you name it - we are supported!!!!

Interesting facts

Coastline ROP has earned a six-year clear term of accreditation from the Western Association of Schools and Colleges - the highest term available. Eight courses offered at local high schools allow students to earn the a-g credit they need to enter a University of California or California State University. Nearly thirty courses articulate with local community colleges allowing high school students to earn community college credit while still in high school.
