

We are a software company based in Menlo Park, California with offices in Toronto and Oslo, Norway. We went live with our first paying customer in 2003 and are now used in over 50,000 business locations (stores, call centers, hotels, websites, etc) world-wide. Our customers include some of the most innovative and admired companies in financial services, retail, high-tech, business-to-business, hospitality, and travel and leisure.We are fully owned by our employees and founders, with no material outside investors.
Our system helps businesses capture feedback from customers about their recent interaction with the company. This feedback streams into a single company-wide web application where it is combined with operational and other company data. Users from throughout the organization can take action, and see progress. The action can be external such as reaching out to a customer to make things right or more internal such as training staff, improving procedures, products and policies.
We have one hurdle all prospective employees must clear: our iron-clad "hire no jerks" rule. Aside from the overachieving factor, we also come from diverse backgrounds. Our web designer was a former minister, and our head of HR was once a zookeeper.
Nearly 100 percent of Medallia employees are graduates of top universities, including many who hold advanced degrees from top engineering and business schools. Many graduated with top academic honors and distinction.
