JVS is an award-winning human services organization with 6 locations in metro Detroit that helps people realize their life's potential through a variety of programs that maximize their self-sufficiency. JVS provides counseling, training, support services and comprehensive programs to unemployed workers; women who need to return to the workforce; at-risk youth; individuals with severe disabilities; homeless individuals. In addition, JVS provides specialized services for senior adults that allow them to age in place; financial literacy and affordable housing programs.
Last year, JVS helped more than 10,000 people of all stages in life, whether in need of education and training to become self-reliant; re-employment to provide for their family again; adult day care to keep people with memory loss active, aware and alert; and the chance for people with disabilities to prove that disability does not mean inability. Through our multifaceted human services, JVS helps people lead fulfilling and meaningful lives.
