

For over 94 years, HRC has been providing consulting engineering and architectural services to municipal, industrial and private clients throughout Michigan. We have had an interesting and fulfilling history helping Michigan communities build, improve, and maintain their infrastructure. As a firm specializing in civil, mechanical, electrical, environmental and traffic engineering, HRC is comprised of over 180 engineers, professional surveyors, architects, technicians and support staff. HRC has particular expertise in wastewater treatment engineering and has designed hundreds of wastewater treatment plants, pumping stations and numerous facilities to better manage combined wastewater/storm water.

The intersection of Hubbell and Fenkell is symbolic of the friendship and successful collaboration of two of the wastewater pioneers in Detroit: Clarence W. Hubbell (the Founder of HRC) and George Fenkell (Superintendent, Detroit Water and Sewer)
Thousands of miles of sewer and water main in Michigan, especially southeastern Michigan, were designed by HRC.
