Founded in 1976, Acorn Distributors Inc. has grown from a small restaurant supply house into a multi-million dollar distributor of floor care equipment, chemicals, sanitary maintenance materials, and foodservice supply products.
As a member of two national buying organizations, Network Services Company and Allied Buying Corporation, we obtain aggressive pricing enabling us to provide ongoing local service to regional and national customers.
Acorn's geographically centralized locations in Indianapolis, IN and Columbus, OH allows us to service customers in Indiana, Ohio, Michigan, Illinois, Kentucky and other central states.
1. Our owner first worked for Ochs (pronounced "oaks") Paper 30+ years ago. He decided to start his own company with a partner and call it Acorn Distributors. Some people believe that Acorn got its name from Ochs because acorns come from oak trees. But he really wanted Acorn to be listed first in the yellow pages!
2. Our owner has a collection of over 3 dozen different kinds of toilet paper from around the world including China, Israel, Finland and South Africa.
3. In 35 years of business, we grown and moved from a 26,000 sq. ft. to a 54,000 sq. ft. to a current 108,000 sq. ft. building.
4. We have 2 employees who served in Iraq.
