What started in 1931 as a small women's fashion shop in Duluth, Minnesota, has grown to over 800 stores in 45 states across the country and has just entered the Canadian market with two stores open there. maurices is the leading home town specialty store and authority for the savvy, fashion conscious customer with a twenty-something attitude. Maurice Labovitz and is now owned by Ascena Retail Group, Inc. maurices home office is located in Duluth, Minnesota, the hometown of its very first store.
