About Hammer Residences, inc
Hammer Residences, Inc. was founded by Alvina Hammer in 1923. Hammer provides personalized services for individuals with disabilities in the western suburbs of the Twin Cities. Our mission: to provide adults and children with developmental disabilities the opportunity to experience life to its fullest. We currently serve approximately 200 adults and children who reside in 35 private homes and are integrated into seven apartment programs. In addition, we serve a growing number of adults and children through our in-home programs. Hennepin County has chosen Hammer as a preferred provider for contracted case management services, designed to help families find cost-effective, creative solutions that best meet their needs.
We currently serve 422 people through these special services. Hammer was also named one of the Star Tribune's Top 100 Workplaces in the Twin Cities in 2010. To stay in touch with Hammer, follow us on Facebook and on Twitter (@Hammer_MN).
