About ACTION-Housing, Inc.
ACTION-Housing, Inc.'s mission is to serve special needs populations and low income individuals and families by empowering them to build more secure and self-sufficient lives through the provision of decent, affordable housing, essential supportive services, asset building programs, and educational and employment opportunities. Serving the most vulnerable populations in Southwestern Pennsylvania, our clients include homeless families and individuals; women and children in crisis; persons with physical and mental disabilities; elderly individuals with limited incomes; young people- ages 18 to 24- at risk of homelessness due to aging out of foster care; unemployed or underemployed individuals; and low to moderate income individuals and families.
As ACTION-Housing moves toward the future, we aspire to become leaders in environmentally conscious affordable housing by practicing and encouraging water and energy conservation, along with smart land use and good housing design.
