About Community Action Agency Of Delaware County
Community Action Agency of Delaware County has been helping people and changing lives for the last 30 years Each year we serve over 100,000 people improving their lives by helping them to obtain better jobs, health insurance, quality housing, and much more With the exception of our 4 homeless shelters, all of our buildings pay property taxes and support the municipalities in which they are located. We have renovated hundreds of homes in our various programs. We will continue these types of activities with our efforts in the immediate future focused on green-collar technology, employment and building retrofits Generated in-kind donations of over $2.3million to support our community development initiatives.
Through our Financial Literacy Programs, CAADC assisted 321 consumers to file their income tax returns, generating nearly $325,000 in refunds. In our Family Savings Account Program, 62 graduates saved $91,700 which was matched with another $91,700 by the PA Department of Community&Economic Development. Through our Faith-Based Partnerships, CAADC renovated 51 homes and provided 79,388 meals to homeless persons and needy families valued at over $1,114,000
