About Progress Industries

Founded in 1979, Progress Industries (P.I.) is a nonprofit organization that assists people of all ages with physical and intellectual disabilities to live and work as independently as possible within their communities. This is accomplished through training and support in residential, vocational and day habilitation programs. Residential services are provided in community-based settings in Polk and Jasper Counties. P.I.’s vocational services include pre-vocational training and supported employment programs. Day Habilitation services offer therapeutic and instructional activities to develop maintain or increase skill development in life functioning areas.

Progress Industries has 247 employees who provide services to nearly 300 people on an annual basis.
