Algona Community School District provides educational services for 1375 students including students whole grade shared from Titonka Consolidated Schools, and over 120 open enrolled in students from surrounding districts. We have three elementary buildings, which serve students in three-year-old pre-school, four-year-old pre-school, and grades PK – 4. In January of 2011 we opened a state of the art middle school that serves grades 5 -8. Lastly, we have a comprehensive high school and alternative educational program that serves students in grades 9-12.
Several award winning tech prep programs are also provided to students through a partnership with Iowa Lakes Community College in the areas of TV Broadcast (National Qualifiers and Champions), Automotive, Construction Technology, and Health Care. We provide award winning academic and extra curricular programming to our students, as recognized by respective state and professional organizations.
