Centerbrook Architects serves a diverse clientele, including universities and independent schools, homeowners and municipalities, businesses and religious congregations. Founded in 1975 and led by four partners, Jefferson B. Riley, Mark Simon, Chad Floyd, and James Childress, all FAIA, the firm is staffed by more than 60 professionals whose services encompass project management, planning, interior design, sculpture, landscape and site design, industrial design, design and fabrication of furniture and lighting, and graphic design. Centerbrook has garnered more than 344 design awards.

In 1998, the American Institute of Architects recognized Centerbrook with its prestigious national Firm Award. Among the firm's notable clients are Yale University, Dartmouth College, the Ocean House, Cold Spring Harbor Laboratory, the City of Austin Texas, and Quinnipiac University.
