The Menninger Clinic is a leading national center for advancement of mental health treatment through research & professional education. The hospital assesses & treats adolescents & adults suffering from severe & complex psychiatric disorders that may include addiction or substance abuse. Treatment focuses on the needs of each patient in the areas of medical, emotional, interpersonal & spiritual health. Each hospital patient is a vital member of the treatment team, which involves a range of mental health specialists. Family members receive therapy & coaching to support their loved one?s recovery.
Menninger also operates The Gathering Place, a psychosocial clubhouse located a mile from our hospital; Pathfinder, a transition program to help adults integrate back into the community & to live independently; & outpatient care at Menninger, three Texas Children?s medical homes & for members of Windsor Village United Methodist Church. Affiliated with Baylor College of Medicine, Menninger is a primary teaching & research hospital for BCM. Over 250 trainees came to Menninger last year.
