SRAM, LLC is a leading global designer, manufacturer, and marketer of premium bicycle components. SRAM was established in Chicago, IL in 1987 by six bicycles enthusiasts who revolutionized the bicycle industry with a product called Grip Shift. In addition to the full line of bicycle components, SRAM also sponsors World Bicycle Relief, a non-profit organization that distributes bicycles to poverty stricken men and women in Sub-Saharan regions of Africa. World Bicycle Relief has provided more than 100,000 specially designed, locally assembled, rugged bicycles to aid the rebuilding of lives by providing access to education, healthcare, and socioeconomic opportunities.
