Companies that get their employees ‘bought-in’ to what they are trying to do create workplaces that people really value working at.
A key element to getting people ‘bought-in’ is to make their work meaningful. Every company should have some beneficial purpose – and making this clear to employees is crucial.
So it’s great to see the new GE commercials are completely focused on communicating how meaningful the work that GE employees do is. There will be cynical voices out there, but this is just the kind of message that will help attract new employees, and more importantly keep the current employees motivated and proud of what they do.
